Katja Emanuel, born to German parents in the small town of Swartruggens in the North West province, is a well traveled woman who has now come to call the West Coast of the Cape her home. Many items in Wunderkammer have been collected along her travels over the years. You can find art from renowned artists and potters she befriended in the past as well as quirky pieces of furniture from places like the Natal Midlands. She is always happy to have a cup of tea with you and share a story or two. When she’s not rearranging her shop, you can find her with her two scruffy mutts, or heading on a weekend trip into the wild with her partner in their custom, teardrop trailer.
